The venerable crime-fighting dog turned 29 this week, according to the National Crime Prevention Council. McGruff has been urging children and adults to “take a bite out of crime” for almost three decades now. Over the years McGruff has appeared on radio, TV, internet, magazines, and other media, and is recognized across the United States as a symbol of crime prevention and safety. Happy Birthday.
